But after this last storm, it's quite clear that we could take a page from Cuba about hurricane preparedness. Cuba, no stranger to hurricanes, is often cited as a model for preparedness. They have lost an order of magnitude fewer people in a half-dozen hurricanes than we will have lost in this one. Castro undoubtedly could learn a thing or three from America about economics.
