In Memoriam — September 11, 2001

September 11th, 2005 · No Comments

A version of this post first appeared on September 11, 2004. It is the only entry that will ever be posted on A Stitch In Haste on any anniversary of September 11 for as long as I maintain this blog.

I took my mother and her friends to the observatory of the Empire State Building, on a beautiful day reminiscent of that blue-skyed Tuesday morning years ago.

Perhaps a fitting way to mourn what was destroyed is by celebrating what was not. So here are some pictures of New York’s other towering achievements…

Normal blogging resumes on September 12.
