The harsh judgment of these people reminds of the way unpopular kids were treated when I was in junior high.

They are doing something extraordinary (in the literal sense of the word) therefore are deserving of ridicule?

Joe, I cannot disagree with you. The thing is, there are people with one child who are ill-equipped to care for them emotionally. I'm reticent to cast judgment on these particular people because we've known of them for years and have never heard anything but good about the kids. I'd put them behind a DSS tenant of mine with 9 children on welfare when it comes to derserving criticism.

I'm one of 13 children, and I think it's irresponsible for anyone to have more children than they can care for emotionally…regardless of whether one can afford them financially. 16 is too many, IMO.

How mean. The guy is a Real Estate Broker, former state representative, and former US Senate candidate. He owns a 7000 square foot house. He's able to afford it, so why pass judgment? If anything, his children will help finance our stupid Social Security system.

I am certain that, when the time comes, big-spending "family values" sorts will insist that gay families hand over big chunks of their hard-earned income in taxes to subsidize this sort of recklessness, in order to "bolster families."

That the gay families are themselves hurt by this policy doesn't matter to the big-spending "moral" minority. Their gonads are their gods.
