Meta-Blogging: Some (More) Enhancements

March 12th, 2007 · No Comments

Two Three quick updates:

–Host-based trackbacking is out; Technorati Trackbacks are in.

(Note for those using Blogger — please please please switch away from Google’s new sado-masochistic comment platform, complete with captcha wndows that are impossible to decipher — and sometimes longer than the blogpost itself. HaloScan is probably your best option — I used it back when I was on old Blogger.)

–I’ve added IM accounts on Yahoo and AOL to the pre-existing GoogleTalk account. My handle is simply “kipesquire” across all platforms. And, with my new toy, I can receive and send IMs on both Y! and AIM even when I’m not at my computer. So chat/invite away (but please no hate mail).

That is all.

LATE ADDITION: Modulator highlights another neat tool to add to your blog: Socializer

The Socializer allows you to easily submit a link to several social bookmarking systems. Instead of having a link to each social bookmarking website, you have a single link to all of them!

I still don’t fully understand “social bookmarking.” On the other hand, I also don’t fully understand my cell phone, but that doesn’t stop me from using it.

So be sure to “socially bookmark” me relentlessly — whatever that means.
