Linkfest: Two Bigots Get Debunked

August 21st, 2008 · No Comments

Question: Which anti-gay bigot got their clock cleaned worse?

A) Law professor Amy Wax, during an online debate on same-sex marriage hosted by the Federalist Society. Sample:

I just don’t agree that gay men will keep their non-monogamy to themselves.

B) Blogger and attorney Bart DePalma in the comment thread at the Balkinization post that linked to said debate. Sample:

At most, sodomy is a pale imitation of sexual intercourse necessitated because a homosexual is attracted to the same gender and cannot have sexual intercourse with the person to which he is attracted. Thus, homosexual unions and marriage is not similarly situated sexually.

Note: Both the debate and the comment thread are long and at times dry. You have been warned.
