Metablogging: Blocking Some Access

November 4th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have grown bold enough to play around with this blog’s HTACCESS file, in an attempt to block certain IP and domain access.

I realize that this is somewhat analogous to “everyone who’s not here, raise your hand,” but if anyone discovers that they can access this blog in some circumstances but not others, please let me know. The blocking is intended to be very specific and should not generally affect any legitimate readers.

That is all.

I've blocked some IP addresses through my dashboard where I'm hosted, mostly .cn and all known spam contributors.

Funny you should post this. I get a crazy error message when I log on to your blog from my office computer.
