Rose, my basset hound, has gotten very cranky about fireworks since she became blind as a result of glaucoma. All things being equal, I'm glad that the fireworks down south here were called off on account of rain. I'd rather miss the show than have to calm a shivering barking dog for an hour on New Year's Eve.
