However, when a High Court rules on a constitutional matter, it does have effect throughout the country, as established by the precident in <a href="http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/Will-Delhi-HC-gay-order-apply-across-India/articleshow/4731089.cms" rel="nofollow">Kusum Ingots vs Union of India (2004)</a>.

Shit happens. The poor guy got the education he needed from an ultra-poor background, got in over his head, and has made significant efforts to pay what he could, but the rich New York boys have decided he's a "deadbeat." Nice.

If you want to be a lawyer, you have to go to law school. Law school is expensive. If you "borrow too much," you aren't allowed to be a lawyer.

That means that the "law profession," a government-regulated profession, effectively is closed to only those who are wealthy enough to pay cash to get in to the business. If you're an unfortunate soul who borrows to try and get in, the institution (and commentators) will slam your character and deny you a license. Amazing stuff.
